The Rev. Matthew Ross (pictured right) is the new Locum Minister for Colinton Parish Church and took up the post at the beginning of September. He has recently returned from working in Geneva with the World Council of Churches. In addition to his duties here in Colinton, Matthew will also be working part-time for the University of Glasgow in the School of Critical Studies / Theology & Religious Studies. Moira Shirreff (1st row left) is our Pastoral Care Development Worker, visiting those in their homes who are less able to come to church each week due to illness or infirmity. Moira is also responsible for arranging a number of activities for older members of the community. The maintenance of our Church buildings is carried out on a day-to-day basis by our Church Officer, Alasdair Mackenzie (1st row right) who also acts as beadle on a Sunday morning. Sheila Porteous (2nd row left) manages all the bookings at Dreghorn Loan Hall. The Loan Hall is available to hire and is used for private functions as well as keep-fit classes, The Literary Society meetings, Garden Club and History Society meetings. Ian Morrison (2nd row right) is our Session Clerk. He has responsibility, along with the other members of the Kirk Session, for the oversight of the whole life and service of the Church within our Parish. Kath Hay (3rd row left) is our magazine Editor and David Turner (3rd row right) is Director of Music. Lindsey Rowlands (4th row left) is our Church Administrator and Lynn Leslie(4th row right) is our Catering Manager.
