We believe in life before death

Christian Aid was 60 years old in 2005. It began as a way of helping refugees during the months following the end of the Second World War. The ecumenical organisation was originally called 'Christian Reconstruction in Europe'.

Today Christian Aid works with local organisations in some fifty countries helping people, regardless of their religion or race, to enhance their lives and tackle the causes of poverty and injustice.

The Christian Aid Committee in Colinton consists of members of Colinton Parish Church and the Episcopal Church. It is extremely active and many fundraising (and fun raising!) events are organised throughout the year.
