What is The Lit?
Founded in 1903, we are only in our 98th session because meetings were discontinued during the war years.
We are not particularly literary as you will see from our programme of general interest topics. Indeed, all our programmes are based on suggestions made by the members themselves, and proposals for future talks may be handed in to the Secretary at any time.
Finally, if you have visitors staying with you, don't hesitate to bring them with you. Non-members may attend any meeting on payment of £1.
An Invitation to "The Lit"
The Colinton Parish Church Literary Society 2008 season begins on Wednesday 15th October at 8:00pm, in the Church Hall, Dreghorn Loan. We meet each Wednesday throughout the winter months to enjoy a programme of talks, audio-visual and musical performances expertly and sympathetically presented. Membership costs only £10 for the full programme of 18 meetings. New members of all ages can be assured of a warm welcome.
